Cornuda Social Support Project to Aid Vulnerable Residents

Agreement in Cornuda

On June 9, 1996, an agreement was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Participants included some representatives of local political and social forces, such as the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total allocated funds for the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Union funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of those involved, also creating opportunities for community gathering and solidarity among citizens.

Role of institutions and associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting these initiatives by providing security services and coordinating among the various involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation of the local community.

Overall, the agreement represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at protecting and improving the quality of life for the most vulnerable.
