Cornuda Supports Vulnerable Groups Through Community Initiative
Agreement in Cornuda
On June 9, 1996, a convention took place at the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Several local political and social representatives participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.
Planned Activities and Objectives
The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community gathering and solidarity among citizens.
The Role of Institutions and Associations
The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.
Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
Overall, the convention represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens, aimed at safeguarding and enhancing the quality of life for the most vulnerable populations.
