Cornuda’s 1996 Social Inclusion Project Promotes Community Support
Start of the agreement and participants
On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project in favor of the most socially vulnerable people.
Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the ’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, mainly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the implementation of the ’ initiative amounts to about one hundred thousand euros, funded with regional and community funds.

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need.
Social transport and services, listening centers, and gathering places will also be enhanced.
