A violent thunderstorm struck Costermano on the evening of July 11, when a lightning bolt struck a tree along via Morlungo, near the Tre Camini restaurant, around 7:30 PM. The impact caused the tree to collapse onto a passing car, which had three people inside. Although the passengers sustained injuries, their conditions are not serious. After the incident, they were assisted by Suem 118 personnel and transported in yellow code to Pederzoli Hospital in Peschiera del Garda for further examination.
Firefighters also arrived on the scene, taking care to remove the tree and secure the surrounding area. Authorities have initiated checks to assess any potential damage to the pavement and the electrical network caused by the lightning strike.
