The Csen National Karate Cup, a prestigious event held at the Palasport Palapatrizzoli in Fidenza (PR), has just concluded. Organized by the National Educational Sports Center, karate sector, the event saw the participation of 130 teams and 2375 athletes.
The GKT team participated with great enthusiasm, presenting 54 athletes who answered the call of their coaches. On Saturday, the competitions for brown and black belts in kata and kumite took place for all categories. Our team fought with determination and achieved excellent results, winning 8 medals: 1 gold, 4 silver, and 3 bronze.
On Sunday, it was the turn of athletes with white to blue belts, who competed in kata, team kata, obstacle course, balloon, and kumite for under 10 and under 12. In total, 43 GKT athletes participated in the competitions, demonstrating commitment and dedication. The guest of honor, Italian champion Ahmed El Sharaby, also known as the Jaguar, awarded the competing athletes.
Despite strong competition from other teams from all over Italy, the GKT ASD concluded their adventure in Fidenza with an excellent fourth place in the overall standings. In total, the team won 29 medals: 9 gold, 10 silver, and 10 bronze. Additionally, the GKT also achieved fourth place in the youth activities category, thanks to the results obtained in the balloon and obstacle course competitions.
This important result testifies to the growth of the GKT team in the national karate scene. This achievement is not only attributed to the athletes but also to the coaches who strive every day to allow them to gain experience and grow both in sports and personally. A special thanks also goes to the parents who enthusiastically support their children in this sports adventure.
