The Vittoriale of Gardone Riviera celebrated an important milestone with the visit of the Minister of Culture, Alessandro Giuli, on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the opening to the public of the Prioria, the historic residence of Gabriele D’Annunzio. The event took place this afternoon and featured the inauguration of a space dedicated to cultural virtual reality, where visitors can use 3D headsets to explore the poet’s home through 360° footage. Additionally, an innovative D’Annunzio hologram was presented, which interacts with the audience by answering questions and providing a unique immersive experience.
Giuli expressed enthusiasm for this new technology, emphasizing the importance of the hologram in keeping D’Annunzio’s legacy alive. During his dialogue with the hologram, the minister received significant insights into the connection between art and Italian culture. In concluding his remarks, Giuli highlighted how D’Annunzio represents a pivotal figure not only in cultural history but also in the contemporary political landscape, underscoring the necessity for a forward-thinking and libertarian vision that continues to characterize Italian thought today.
