Cycling with Champions: Giuseppe Pancera Memorial Takes Place in Sona
The “Pedalata con i campioni – Memorial Giuseppe Pancera” cycling event will take place on Saturday, April 18, starting from the sports facilities in Castelnuovo del Garda. Registration begins at 1:30 PM, with the ride departing at 2:30 PM and expected to conclude around 5:30 PM at the sports facilities in San Giorgio in Salici, Sona. Organized by ASD Carpenedolo with local municipal support, the event features mountain bike, gravel, and e-MTB routes, including a stop at the Lungolago Campanello. Participants must register by April 16 via QR code on municipal websites, with a €10 registration fee and proof of insurance required.
Cycling champions Gianni Bugno, Claudio Chiappucci, Maurizio Molinari, and Alessandro Bertolini will accompany participants along the route. Local authorities are providing logistical support, sports facilities, and coordination for refreshment stations and the final gathering, which will include a risotto meal at the finish.
