Cyclist in serious condition after accident in Puegnago, investigations ongoing

A 59-year-old cyclist was seriously injured in Puegnago after colliding with a metal post of a fence surrounding an olive grove while riding on Via Videlle. The incident occurred on August 1, 2024; the man, a resident of the area, lost control of his bicycle and fell to the ground, sustaining severe injuries.

Initially conscious but experiencing motor difficulties, the cyclist was assisted by the Garda Volunteers and subsequently airlifted to the Civile hospital, where his condition is currently considered serious and he is not yet out of danger. Local police also responded to the scene to carry out the necessary investigations.
