In the night between Friday and Saturday, around 3 AM, a 35-year-old Belgian tourist unleashed chaos along the Gabriele d’Annunzio lakeside, causing significant damage. Under the influence of alcohol, the man smashed the window of a shop with a blunt object and threw tables and chairs into the lake, uprooted flower pots and trash bins, and even knocked over a parked scooter. The outdoor awnings of local establishments were left in tatters during his vandalistic spree.
After completing his destructive rampage, the tourist returned to his hotel. However, thanks to the surveillance cameras installed in the area, he was identified by the carabinieri, who approached him to issue a report for damage, in addition to the complaints filed by the merchants affected by this act of urban violence.
