Desenzano: Beach cleared after fight and illegal occupation
Police in Desenzano del Garda cleared an illegally set-up beach area near Via Vò early on, after a fight reported in the previous days. Carabinieri and State Police intervened at dawn following a complaint from a 26-year-old man who said he was hit in the face after an argument. Officers found two camping tents set up without authorization and identified five people aged between 25 and 39.
During the checks, a 39-year-old Romanian woman was reported for violating a mandatory “stay-away” order issued by the Municipality of Desenzano. A foreign national previously reported for irregular stay was taken to the Immigration Office at the Brescia Police Headquarters to begin expulsion procedures, while an Italian man with prior records was reported for breaching conditions imposed by the judicial authority. After the investigations, the Municipality and Local Police coordinated the removal of tents and other temporary structures from the public waterfront area.
