Desenzano Boosts Tourist Welcome with Direct Management of Info Points

Desenzano has officially taken over the management of its tourist information points, including Porto Vecchio and the train station, transitioning from provincial to municipal control. The move involves two specialized staff previously employed by Brescia Province, now under local authority until October 2025, to ensure direct oversight and better integration with local tourism policies.

The municipality opted for this in-house model, considering it more efficient and cost-effective than outsourcing. Local hoteliers will cover weekend and holiday shifts, with Tourism Councilor Stefania Lorenzoni emphasizing the focus on “investment in quality hospitality” and thanking all parties for their collaboration.
