Among the highlights is a section dedicated to David Lynch, showcasing the screening of “The Rabbits.” The competition will include over 1,500 short films from around the world, with 22 selected works hailing from 19 countries; participants include young Lombard directors such as Federico Montaresi and Michele Motzo. The event will take place in various locations throughout the city, creating an immersive experience that includes the Civic Gallery with an exhibition of experimental cinema and the Idroscalo Park for an ecological workshop. Palazzo Todeschini will host a masterclass on cinema as a tool for visual resistance. The concluding weekend will culminate in screenings of the competing short films at the Teatro Alberti, followed by a final party featuring a DJ set. Pietro Avanzi, the cultural advisor, emphasized the festival’s significance in the local cultural landscape, highlighting how this event represents an international crossroads of creativity and cultural exchange.
