Desenzano Extends Free Museum Entry to All Residents Through 2026
Desenzano del Garda has made free admission to its main cultural venues for residents — including the Castello, the Museo Civico Archeologico “Giovanni Rambotti,” and exhibitions at the Galleria Civica Bosio — timed to the opening of the major Giorgio De Chirico exhibition, “Giorgio De Chirico, un mondo senza tempo,” at the Castello di Desenzano (May 17 to October 6, 2026).
The measure, announced by the municipal administration, aims to valorize the city’s artistic and historical heritage and strengthen ties with the community. Culture Councillor Pietro Avanzi said making culture accessible and part of daily life is fundamental, highlighting the De Chirico show as a landmark and stressing that municipal cultural spaces should be open, inclusive, and participatory to foster belonging and cultural growth.
