Desenzano Gains as Tourism Revenue Surges Past 2 Million Euros in Tourist Tax

Desenzano del Garda’s tourism industry remains strong in 2025, with the occupancy tax generating over €2.14 million from nearly 409,000 visitors and 1.2 million overnight stays. The summer months, especially July and August, accounted for the majority of revenue, with hotels—particularly four-star properties—contributing the largest share.

The revenue supports local initiatives, including events and infrastructure, reflecting the city’s diverse accommodation options, from hotels to holiday rentals and outdoor facilities. Officials highlight that the tax revenue underscores Desenzano’s appeal and ability to attract different tourism segments year-round.
