The “Let’s Keep the Desenzano Hospital” Committee, backed by over 8,000 signatures, has recently submitted two formal complaints to the Prefect of Brescia, Dr. Andrea Polichetti, to report the omissions by ASST Garda and the Presidency of the Assembly of Mayors regarding the management of the new hospital project. The committee emphasizes that ASST Decree No. 639/2023 mandates the preparation of a planning document that involves both local administrations and citizens; however, this document has never been discussed, thereby violating transparency regulations and limiting citizen participation.
Furthermore, the Committee accuses the President of the Assembly of Mayors, Dr. Luisa Lavelli, of ignoring the requests for convening the Mayors and postponing a public assembly to November 2025, by which time many decisions will have already been made. This situation is viewed as a disrespect towards the citizens and their concerns. Therefore, the Committee has requested the Prefect to verify the legality of these omissions and to ensure that citizens and local administrations are involved before decisions become final.
