Desenzano Hosts Three Days of Sailing and Inclusion With Gruppo Nautico Dielleffe

The “Vela e inclusione” initiative, organized by the Gruppo Nautico Dielleffe in Desenzano as part of the “Svelare senza barriere” project with UVI (Unione Volontari per l’Infanzia e Adolescenza), concluded after three days of activities. The event hosted 20 boys and girls from the Milan-based institutes Stelline, Martinitt, and Pio Albergo Trivulzio.

During the stay, participants took part in boat outings and a theoretical session at the GNDielleffe headquarters, along with visits to the Villa Romana di Desenzano and the Officina delle Erbe del Garda. Active since 2008 and supported by volunteers, the project uses sailing to promote integration and provide support for social, physical, and mental hardship; the organizers also announced that from 26 to 29 August Desenzano will host the XVII Interprovincial Sailing Championship for athletes with disabilities, the IX Challenge Luigina, and the II Memorial Cino Anelli.
