Desenzano: Drug Trafficking, Hotelier Reported. Yesterday, officers from the State Police in Desenzano apprehended a 25-year-old Albanian national, who was in an irregular status and homeless, after observing him conducting a drug exchange at a service area along the SP 11, in the Lonato stretch. During the intervention, the young man was subjected to a personal and vehicle search, revealing additional quantities of cocaine intended for distribution. The buyer, a resident of Brescia with a criminal record, was also found in possession of approximately two grams of the same substance and admitted to regularly purchasing from the dealer.
The investigation led to the accommodation where the 25-year-old was staying; the owner had failed to notify the relevant authorities of the guest’s presence as required by current regulations. Consequently, the hotelier was reported to the Public Prosecutor’s Office. Following the arrest, the dealer was transferred to the “Nerio Fischione” Correctional Facility in Brescia, awaiting decisions from the judicial authorities.
