Desenzano mourns the loss of Marina Chiarina, professor and tour guide. The local community is grieving the 63-year-old from Lonato, who tragically lost her life in a car accident on the A10 while escorting a group of tourists to Nice. Yesterday morning, despite the bad weather, students and teachers from the Catullo Middle School gathered to honor her memory with a lectern adorned with flowers. The school principal, Antonella Imboccari, shared the pain of the loss, emphasizing the positive impact Marina had on her students during her four years of teaching. The commemoration was marked by touching moments, including meaningful readings and reflections. Students shared their fond memories, lighting a symbolic candle in memory of their teacher. Additionally, a book of thoughts was created to be gifted to Marina’s children. The school has also arranged psychological support for students affected by the tragedy. Colleagues and friends remember her as a vibrant person passionate about her work and travel; the president of the Pro Loco of Lonato described Marina as an endless source of ideas and positivity, leaving a difficult void to fill in the community.
