Desenzano Launches Major Maintenance on Carabinieri Barracks and Staff Housing
Desenzano del Garda’s Municipal Administration has launched two extraordinary maintenance projects on public assets, including the Carabinieri barracks and the service housing, as part of a program to upgrade safety and the town’s patrimony. The Carabinieri project covers roof restoration and membrane replacement with a total budget of 88,600 euros, while the work on the former cantoniere house’s service quarters involves bathroom maintenance with a budget of 146,400 euros. The works aim to eliminate infiltrations and improve structural and living conditions for personnel and staff; both sets of works are currently underway.
Giovanni Maiolo, Assessor for Public Works, said the Administration is investing resources to address both operational spaces and service housing, ensuring safer and more functional conditions for Carabinieri personnel. The projects were started by municipal order and are proceeding on the planned schedule.
