Desenzano Launches Pilot Program for Historic Center and Lakefront Access

Desenzano’s ZTL zone will enter a trial phase starting February 1, 2026, covering the historic center, Rivoltella, and Lungolago. The regulation restricts vehicle access from Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 10:00 am, to authorized vehicles with permits, after which vehicles must exit the area. Exceptions include emergency services, law enforcement, vehicles for persons with disabilities, municipal and public service vehicles, taxis, and NCC, all granted access through specific authorizations.

Permits for residents, businesses, artisans, suppliers, and accommodation providers will be issued via application, with temporary authorizations for events and logistics. Parking is limited to necessary durations in designated spots, and vehicles over 3.5 tons are prohibited from transit and parking. The trial aims to gather feedback and implement adjustments before permanent enforcement.
