Desenzano Proposes 11% Increase in TARI in Council Vote
Desenzano del Garda will submit to the next municipal council a new TARI tariff plan that increases charges by 11%, with the local administration saying the adjustment is required by ARERA’s binding formulas and cannot be changed by municipalities.
The municipality also confirmed that unchanged urban waste collection and hygiene services will continue. It estimates the economic impact at about €1.80 per month for a four-person household in a ~90 sq m apartment, and about €0.60 per month for a 50 sq m studio with one resident. Councillor for Ecology Cristina Degasperi said the increase is not a local policy decision, noting that TARI rates were unchanged last year.
