Desenzano Recycling Center to Close Monday for Renovation

The Centro di Raccolta in Via Giotto, Desenzano, will close to the public from Monday, June 22, for a redevelopment project, according to the Municipal Administration and Garda Uno S.p.A. To maintain waste-disposal coverage during the works, the Centro di Raccolta in Viale Montecorno will operate with extended hours (Monday to Saturday 9:30–18:30 and Sunday 9:30–21:00), and the Cremaschina site will remain available for drop-offs; these arrangements will stay in effect until the works are completed or further notice.

Before the closure, several waste types will gradually no longer be accepted at Via Giotto, including paints, hazardous packaging, spray cans, expired medicines, batteries and accumulators (lead‑acid and lithium), small lithium-powered appliances, toner, mineral and vegetable oils, bulbs and neon, televisions and monitors, inert waste, refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, ovens and photovoltaic panels. Up to and including Sunday, June 21, bulky waste, wood, metal, plastic packaging, paper and cardboard, glass and cans, dry residual waste, organic waste, grass clippings and pruning will still be accepted. An ordinance will temporarily—and then permanently—close Via Cimabue to allow the works, and Public Works Councillor Giovanni Maiolo announced new separate entry and exit points for users.
