Desenzano Women’s Employment Survey Reveals 61% Workforce Engagement

Not by chance, the president of the municipal council and the equality opportunities commission Maria Ida Germontani announced, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, the initial results of the survey “Women, Employment, and Work,” commissioned to Mds Consulting of Milan, to obtain an accurate picture of the female workforce and to plan appropriate support initiatives.

The full report will be officially presented on Saturday, March 24th, at 10 AM, at the turismo palace. A sample of 700 women, divided into age groups, was interviewed for the survey.

Data on Women’s Employment in Desenzano

In Desenzano, 61.38 percent of the female population is employed: 37.9% in the public sector, 51.3% in the private sector, and 10.8% are self-employed.

27% of working women have part-time contracts. Artisan jobs are disappearing, accounting for only 0.8% of the workforce.

Labor Market Conditions

The job market, especially in top positions, appears static, and the limited mobility is aimed at improvement.

Overall, the interviewed women are satisfied with their employment situation. Additionally, 38.6% of women in Desenzano are not working (of whom nearly 75% are housewives).
