The story of Nicoletta Facchini, a 53-year-old teacher from Volta Mantovana, has ended positively with her discovery in a local park. Her family had raised the alarm due to her prolonged absence, worried about her daily need for life-saving medication. Law enforcement, along with the Scientific Committee for Missing Persons OdV and a targeted social media campaign, initiated the search that led to locating the woman in the Capital of Garda, where her car had also been found.
At the time of her discovery, Nicoletta was found to be in overall good physical condition but in a slight state of confusion. She was immediately taken to the hospital for further examination. Initial reports suggest that the woman had attempted to hide and survive using makeshift means, avoiding any form of electronic tracking such as credit cards or debit cards.
