In the night between Sunday and Monday, the firefighters of the Provincial Command of Brescia successfully completed an important rescue operation in the municipality of Gavardo, recovering a small dog named Perla, who had become trapped in a water drainage channel. The alert was received around 12:20 AM on November 3rd, prompting the deployment of three teams to the scene: two from the Salò detachment and one specialized USAR unit, trained for operations in complex environments. The rescue efforts proved challenging due to the animal’s difficult position. By using cameras attached to probes, the operators were able to locate Perla and conducted a vertical excavation to reach her, finding her approximately 20 meters from the entrance of the channel. Once successfully extracted, the dog was handed over to her owners and taken to a veterinarian for the necessary care. The operation showcased the professionalism and determination of the teams involved. Italian Version
