An operation against drug trafficking led to the arrest of a 25-year-old dealer in Riva del Garda on Thursday, February 27. The young man, of foreign origin and temporarily residing in a local hotel, was stopped by the police after an off-duty officer noticed suspicious behavior related to a vehicle that had already been under surveillance. The officer followed the car to a secluded parking lot, where the young man hurriedly left, raising further suspicions.
Responding swiftly to the scene, the officers identified the driver and conducted a personal search, which resulted in the discovery of €3,575 in cash. A subsequent check in the young man’s hotel room revealed an additional €2,000 and five packages containing cocaine, weighing a total of 1.44 grams. Both the drugs and the money were seized as likely proceeds from drug trafficking, while the young man was taken to jail on charges of drug dealing.
