An incident of driving under the influence marked the night in Valeggio sul Mincio, where a 45-year-old Moroccan man was arrested by the Carabinieri after refusing to provide his personal details and submit to the required checks. The officers, engaged in a territorial control operation, stopped the man while he was in his car. Not only did he deny having any documents with him, but he also attempted to flee on foot before turning aggressive towards the Carabinieri, resisting and using violence. Despite efforts to restrain him, the 45-year-old continued to resist, insulting and threatening the officers. After being identified through a search that led to the discovery of his driving license, he was taken to the Carabinieri Command in Peschiera del Garda. There, he continued his aggressive behavior. The Public Prosecutor’s Office in Verona was informed, and the man was arrested and subsequently sentenced to 4 months in prison, with the sentence suspended, after reaching a plea agreement before the Judge of the Verona Court.
