Dulcis Banana by Cremonesi Wins Italian Fun Class Championship in Toscolano Maderno

The Italian Championship for the Fun class in Toscolano Maderno ended with **Dulcis Banana** winning the regatta, skippered by **Andrea Cremonesi** of **Circolo Vela Toscolano Maderno**. The event also marked the memory of **Alcide Morani**, the former president, current vice president and co-founder of the club, who died on **Friday**, coinciding with the start of the first race.

Held over **three days** with **18 boats** competing, the opening and closing ceremonies were attended by **Regional Councillor Floriano Massardi** and **Councillor Alessio Campanardi**. Racing took place at **Pra de la Fam** on Friday with **three races** in light conditions around **7 knots**; Saturday’s morning was suspended out of respect, followed by a **minute of silence** with boats facing the club, and two more races were completed in the afternoon. After thunderstorms overnight, Sunday moved to **Toscolano** with the **Peler** bringing winds up to about **20 knots**, and **three final races** were sailed. After **eight races** (with **one discard**), **Dulcis Banana** finished first with **14 points**, ahead of **Adriano Vitali** on **Funtarei** (16) and **Paolo Masserdotti** on **ProgettoB20**. **Gin Tonic** (30) was fourth, **Angelo Capello** on **Funatica** (32) fifth, and **Alberto and Goffredo Azzi** on **Wanderfun** (42) sixth. Special prizes went to **Roberto La Manna** (Under 25) and **Marta Giussani** (first female skipper).
