Eating Disorders in Lonato: Ambrosia ETS Meeting Set for September 9

Eating disorders will be the focus of the event “When eating becomes frightening,” scheduled for Wednesday, September 9 at 8:30 p.m. at the Music Hall of the Municipal Library in Lonato del Garda (Via Zambelli 22). The meeting is organized by Associazione Ambrosia ETS, with the City of Lonato del Garda’s patronage, and will address Eating Disorders and Nutrition-related conditions, with particular attention to children and adolescents.

The program includes an intervention by Maria Vittoria Ferrajoli, author of *Anoressia… lo specchio che mentiva agli occhi blu*, who will discuss her personal journey from anorexia to turning her experience into a book. The clinical and psychological aspects of eating disorders in the developmental age will be explored by Dr. Federica Pagani, a child neuropsychiatrist and Ambrosia ETS scientific coordinator.

The discussion will be moderated by journalist and Mindful Eating Trainer Francesca Gardenato, focusing on the relationship between food, awareness, and emotional experience. The event aims to provide tools to recognize distress and to guide people toward care and support pathways without judgment or alarmism. Admission is free.
