Ecological Areas or Landfills? Waste and Stench at Viale Magnolie

They call them ecological areas, but for some, more accurate, less euphemistic terms would be “open-air mini-landfills” or other similar descriptions. This is the case of the area that has been functioning for several years between Viale Magnolie and the Casino Palace, close to the Villa Italia fence.

One of the places becoming a popular stop for a short walk in the shade, between a coffee and an ice cream, for an increasing number of tourists and residents. Yesterday morning, in addition to various kinds of waste and containers scattered on the ground, it emitted a repulsive stench, worse than the worst illegal dump: a poor calling card.
