The mayor of Salò has decided to extend the operating period of combustion heating systems due to the current weather conditions, which have caused temperatures to drop below seasonal averages. The ordinance allows the use of these systems until May 6, 2024, for a maximum of 7 hours per day, between 5 am and 11 pm.

The ordinance also requires compliance with temperature and other provisions outlined in points 3 and 4 of the measure. This is a temporary measure aimed at ensuring the thermal comfort of citizens during a period of still cold temperatures.

To view the complete ordinance, it can be downloaded from the website of the Municipality of Salò. It is important to note that this extension applies only to combustion heating systems and not other types of installations or equipment.

This decision by the mayor of Salò is part of the broader context of measures taken by municipalities around Lake Garda to cope with the winter’s low temperatures. It is common practice for mayors to authorize the extension of heating system use based on weather conditions.

It is important to remember that responsible and efficient use of heating systems is crucial to reduce energy consumption and environmental impacts. It is advisable to adjust the temperature of the systems to ensure thermal comfort without wasting energy.

In conclusion, the ordinance issued by the mayor of Salò to extend the operating period of combustion heating systems is a temporary measure aimed at ensuring the well-being of citizens during a still cold period. It is important to follow the provisions of the ordinance and use heating systems responsibly to reduce energy consumption and preserve the environment.
