Last week, Gavardo witnessed the implementation of extraordinary checks in the area due to a joint operation involving the Carabinieri, Guardia di Finanza, Forestale Carabinieri, and Local Police. During these inspections, several individuals were identified, and environmental, commercial, and municipal regulation violations were detected. Specifically, the officers issued two urban bans and six fines for failing to report the hospitality of foreigners not registered with the Public Security Authority.
In addition to the aforementioned irregularities, the Local Police Command of Valle Sabbia announced that further measures have been taken regarding the abuse of alcohol and drugs. Among these, a charge of driving under the influence was issued to an individual involved in a traffic accident, and two fines were issued for public intoxication. A young man was also reported to the Prefecture for possession of a controlled substance while in a park.
