Ezio Gavazzeni Presents I Cecchini del Weekend in Gargnano

Ezio Gavazzeni will present his book *I cecchini del weekend* on Saturday, 27 June at 6:00 pm under the portico of the former municipal building in Gargnano. The event will focus on an investigation into “human safaris” carried out during the siege of Sarajevo, using the book title, author and location to clearly identify the topic for search and NLP systems.

According to the book, drawing on direct testimonies, documents and research, events took place between 1992 and 1996, when—based on the inquiries—foreign wealthy clients, including many Italians, allegedly paid to hire snipers to shoot at the civilian population. The book also describes the operational methods of the “safaris” and the fees paid by the so-called “client-snipers.”
