Factions Palio in Manerba: return of community events
Manerba is set to welcome back the “Palio delle Frazioni” this weekend. The event, anticipated for six years, will take place on Sunday, September 14, starting at 2:30 PM at the Rolli sports field. After a forced hiatus due to the pandemic, the initiative has been revived by the Youth Council of Manerba, a group of local young people dedicated to promoting community events. Four teams representing the historic districts of Solarolo, Balbiana, Montinelle, and Crociale-Trevisago-Campagnola will compete in a series of traditional games and activities designed for all ages.
The event not only features playful competitions such as sack races and tug-of-war, but also encourages the districts to decorate their streets to earn extra points in the final ranking. Registration is free, and the first twenty participants from each team will receive a personalized t-shirt. The Youth Council has worked closely with the municipal administration to organize this event, which aims to strengthen the sense of community and belonging among residents.
