A man has publicly apologized on live television for defrauding numerous merchants by posing as a member of the Alpine troops and soliciting donations for a charitable cause. The interview, conducted by journalist Myrta Merlino during the program “Pomeriggio Cinque” on October 23, revealed that the self-proclaimed Alpine was operating between Pordenone and the province of Brescia, also targeting the Garda area.
The alleged fraudster, identified as Daniele, acknowledged his actions and expressed remorse to the Alpine troops, the merchants, and his family, justifying his behavior by citing financial difficulties. However, the head of the Alpine group in Salò had already issued a warning regarding this scam, urging shopkeepers not to fall into the trap of deception.
