Fake Carabinieri Calls Targeting Businesses in Garda Region

They impersonate Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurant operators in Medio and Alto Garda, offering subscriptions to magazines of the force.

These are not military personnel, but fraudsters who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, the police, the fire brigade, or the municipal police.

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or magazines unrelated to the law enforcement agencies.

Therefore, be vigilant and immediately contact the Carabinieri – just dial 112 – as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by individuals who, after obtaining the money, disappear.
