Fake Police Calls Target Garda Hoteliers with Fraudulent Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurant owners in the Middle and Upper Garda, proposing subscriptions to the arma magazines.

These are not military personnel, but fraudsters who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, regular police, fire brigade, or the Comune police.

How to Recognize Scams

They often offer subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or publications unrelated to law enforcement agencies.
