On July 13, 2025, the tradition of the Fasanèi procession was renewed, an event that attracts numerous participants each year and took place at dawn, starting from Fasano and heading towards Salò. After the recitation of the Angelus at 5:15 AM, the faithful traveled along the Gardesana to the Church of the Madonna del Carmine, where a mass was celebrated at 7 AM as a sign of devotion. The day concluded with a concert by the Lake Quartet and a refreshment gathering in the small square adjacent to the church.
This ancient custom has its roots in the 18th century, when pilgrims from Fasano journeyed to Salò to implore the Virgin to put an end to a severe drought. According to tradition, upon their return, they were met with abundant rains. Despite favorable weather conditions this year, the ritual took place as always, embodying the faith and spirit of the local community, thus keeping alive a tradition that has lasted for centuries.
