Fast-Track the Verona Lake Garda Railway Connection Project

Bardolino Mayor Daniele Bertasi has welcomed the regional and national government’s efforts to accelerate the strategic railway connection between Verona Porta Nuova and Lake Garda, now facilitated by the appointment of a special commissioner by Infrastructure Minister Matteo Salvini. The project aims to improve transportation links for the Garda area, supporting local tourism and economy.

Bertasi highlighted the involvement of regional and national representatives, including MP Paola Boscaini and regional councilor Elisa De Berti, as a sign of strong institutional collaboration. He emphasized that enhanced connectivity would reduce traffic pressure, promote sustainable mobility, and boost local competitiveness. The municipality remains open to working with authorities to develop effective solutions for the project.
