Feralpi Group participated in a significant exhibition-event at the European Parliament in Brussels from November 19 to 21, organized by Eurofer under the title “Steel: at the heart of Europe – Stronger with European Steel.” During the event, Feralpi showcased its Interactive Hub, an initiative that highlights a model of innovative and sustainable steelmaking. The European steel sector, essential for the continent’s economy, produces 140 million tons annually and provides approximately 303,000 direct jobs.
Giuseppe Pasini, president of Feralpi Group, emphasized the need to focus on European manufacturing and the protection of scrap metal as a strategic raw material. He also highlighted the challenges related to decarbonization and innovation in the steel industry, expressing the necessity for a strong energy policy to ensure competitiveness. The exhibition provided a unique opportunity to engage directly with institutional representatives and industry operators about the importance of community-level cooperation for a sustainable European steel industry.
