Feralpi Group has once again been recognized as one of the leading Italian players in the steel industry committed to fighting climate change. For the third consecutive year, the company has been included in the 2024 list of European Climate Leaders, a publication curated by the Financial Times in collaboration with Statista.
This recognition comes at a time when only 49 out of the 600 European companies committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions are Italian. Furthermore, only four of these operate in the construction and building materials sector, with Feralpi standing out.
According to the conducted analysis, Feralpi Group achieved a Compound Annual Reduction Rate of 14.6% in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions from 2017 to 2022. Overall, core emissions were reduced by 9.2% during the same period.
Feralpi Group’s commitment to environmental sustainability is reflected in several innovative strategies. The company is investing in the electrification of production processes and the development of internal renewable energy sources. Additionally, it is progressively reducing the use of fossil fuels.
