The Feralpi Group, a leader in the European steel industry, has recently announced the launch of the “Make the diffHERence” program, an initiative designed to support young female graduates or students in engineering. This project aims to provide concrete opportunities in the steel sector while promoting diversity and inclusion within the company.
Program Details
The Technical Graduate Program will last for 20 months and features a structured training path that combines onboarding, specialized technical training, and practical field experience. Participants will have the opportunity to work in technical positions both at the Group level and within business operations, with a permanent contract and competitive compensation.
To be eligible for the program, candidates must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering disciplines such as mechanical, materials, electrical, chemical, management, environmental, civil, energy, computer, mechatronics, electronic, or automation engineering. A good command of the English language and a willingness to engage in continuous technical and digital learning are also required.
A Commitment to Diversity
The Graduate Program is part of a broader diversity & inclusion initiative promoted by Feralpi. This initiative represents a significant step towards enhancing the role of women in the steel industry. Currently, the presence of women in the operational areas of the Group’s facilities is around 0.5%, with the goal of reaching at least 5% female workers in key departments.
Feralpi reaffirms its commitment to promoting professional and cultural diversity among its teams. Antonio Cotelli, the Group’s Human Resources Director, stated: “We are excited to launch this new project aimed at young female graduates and students in engineering… We firmly believe in the value of diversity and are convinced that the contributions of new generations… can significantly enrich our innovation journey.”
Application Process
Applications for the Technical Graduate Program are open until the end of October. Interested individuals can find more information directly on the official Feralpi Group website.
This initiative not only offers professional opportunities to young female engineers but also represents a step forward towards greater inclusivity in the industrial sector.
