Ferrari F399 of Schumacher Attends Desenzano Car and Boat Event

It is official: on Saturday morning, July 22, in Piazza Malvezzi in Desenzano, among the 60 Ferraris participating in the inaugural edition of “Symbol&Symbol”, the fantastic and marvelous F 399 owned by Michael Schumacher will also be present. The confirmation came, very welcome and perhaps a little unexpected, yesterday from the president of the “Ferrari Owner’s Club Bressanelli, directly from Maranello by the president of the Ferrari Club d’Italia Luca Matteoni.

Although the presence will be quite limited, as the vehicle will arrive in Desenzano directly from Maranello around 9:30 AM and depart shortly after 1 PM, it will undoubtedly provide a wave of emotion and interest. Indeed, this is one of the very few official outings for this car, the 1999 world champion, granted by Ferrari itself.

It is a privilege granted exclusively for official events “7 times a year in Italy, excluding this one in Desenzano, and at the always official outings abroad” – explains Luca Matteoni. The lake of Garda, and Desenzano in particular, was deemed of such importance that an exception was made to send the F 399.

Naturally, the car will be closely guarded to prevent the usual “touching” and attempts by enthusiasts to board the vehicle for the customary photo. Photography will be permitted from a respectful distance. Also not to be overlooked is the presence, at the nearby Old Port, of 40 magnificent boats, a world pride of the boating industry, built by the Riva di Sarnico shipyards, and under the portico of the tourism building, a static exhibition curated by the 6° Stormo di Ghedi. It will showcase images, videos, scale models, flight and combat suits, as well as a real engine from the legendary Tornado.

The “1st International Meeting Riva & Ferrari Owners” will kick off on Friday evening with the presentation to the public at the Sesto Senso club of the entire event, featuring Alba Parietti as the godmother.

On Saturday morning, the F 399 and the Ferraris participating in the meeting will arrive in Piazza Malvezzi and in the Old Port with the Riva boats. At 1 PM, there will be a transfer to the Marina West Garda in Padenghe for a buffet, and later, at 4 PM, a static display in Sirmione, at the port and the square in front of the majestic Scaliger castle.
