The fifth edition of the “Andrea Celesti Award” will be held on Sunday, 20 September at 5:00 pm at the Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Toscolano Maderno. Promoted by the local council, the prize recognizes people and organizations that contribute to the community through work, professionalism, and commitment, including achievements in solidarity, culture, art, employment, business, sport, science, and environmental protection.
This year’s award goes to two local realities: Gianpietro Bertella of Santa Cecilia Maderno APS and Dennis Bonometti of the Voluntary Civil Protection Group of Toscolano Maderno. The ceremony will also feature an arts program combining theatre and music, with the monologue “Quelli che mi guardano” for spoken voice and organ, inspired by Celesti’s works, performed by actor Luciano Bertoli and organist pianist Gerardo Chimini, followed by the presentation of the awards. Admission is free.
