The Garda Cinema Film Festival has officially begun and will run until June 15, transforming the location into a stage for both Italian and international cinema. This year, the festival focuses on the theme “Beyond the Border,” featuring a series of film screenings and meetings with authors. The special evenings of the Garda Cinema Nights, which will take place in the outdoor arena along the lakeside of Regina Adelaide, will showcase the season’s major films in the presence of directors and actors. The opening night, scheduled for Wednesday, June 11 at 9:00 PM, will feature the screening of “Ambra Sabatini – One Meter from the Finish Line,” with the participation of director Mattia Ramberti.
During the event, various awards will be presented to key figures in the film industry, including the “Garda Cinema – Beyond the Border” award to Ramberti and the “Garda Cinema – Career in Progress” award to Giovanna Mezzogiorno. Screenings for the International Short Film Competition will begin in the afternoon, featuring works such as “22” by Federico Giovanni Sardi De Letto and “Dear Pietro” by Giorgia Cadei. The festival promises to be an important showcase for local and international productions, celebrating both emerging and established talent in the film sector.
