Financial support for historical activities in Lombardy

Regione Lombardia has announced an important call for proposals to support historic businesses, aimed at 343 shops and establishments that have been operating for at least 40 years, with a total allocation of 6 million euros. This initiative, promoted by the regional assessor for Economic Development, Guido Guidesi, is part of the ‘Historic Businesses Towards the Future 2025’ program, which aims to co-finance interventions such as the restoration of real estate and the innovation of services. The contribution can cover up to 50% of eligible expenses, with a maximum of 30,000 euros for each business. The call is directed towards ‘Historic and Traditional Activities’ listed in the updated regional register for 2024. Since its launch in 2022, over 1,400 businesses have been supported, with total funding exceeding 25 million euros. The funds not only aid in preserving local traditions but also help make urban centers more attractive for both tourists and residents. The recognition ceremony for the acknowledged historic businesses will take place in various provinces, with the next event scheduled for Friday, October 24, in Cremona. Italian Version
