In recent days, Valvestino has been the scene of a new wave of sanctions for dangerous driving, with over thirty fines issued by the Local Police of Gargnano and Desenzano del Garda. This initiative is part of the “Integrated Security Project for the control of the western Garda territory,” aimed at combating the phenomenon of illegal racing near the dam. Following the 24 sanctions recorded during the weekend of July 18-20, officers have intensified checks along Provincial Road 9, where risky behaviors such as speed racing and tire screeching have been observed.
Thanks to the use of drones for monitoring the situation, law enforcement has been able to identify the offenders, primarily young Italians, Germans, and Austrians. These measures aim to ensure greater road safety in Alto Garda, also addressing the concerns expressed by citizens and local administrations regarding reckless behaviors that endanger the lives of motorists and pedestrians.
