Firefighters intervention for drifting boat in Riva del Garda

On the afternoon of Sunday, October 5, a drifting vessel was rescued by the firefighters in the waters of Riva del Garda. The alert was raised around 2:00 PM when the Coast Guard reported a ten-meter cabin cruiser that had experienced a steering system failure, rendering it uncontrollable. The lake conditions were challenging, with strong waves and south winds gusting up to 20 knots, complicating the rescue operations. The Riva fire brigade, consisting of four operators aboard the rescue vessel Sperone, promptly reached the distressed boat. After successfully performing the towing operation, the vessel was safely brought back to the Conca d’Oro port in Torbole. Fortunately, none of the people on board suffered physical injuries during the incident, thanks to the effective intervention of the rescuers. Italian Version
