First Underwater Gathering in Brenzone Organized by Club Athos Diving

First International Underwater Gathering in Assenza di Brenzone. Organized by Club Athos Diving, which has been operating for about a year, with support from the Comune di Brenzone and under the patronage of the Provincia veronese. Today and tomorrow, divers from Italy and abroad will arrive on the Veronese shore of the upper lake.

Start of the event and activities

The attendance at Athos Diving has been steadily increasing for some time, with more people gathering around the club’s headquarters every Sunday. The gathering, which will take place right in Assenza, facing the Trimelone Island, will be coordinated by several instructors and aims to test new equipment to evaluate its effectiveness.

Schedule of the day

Early this morning, the most experienced divers will go into deeper waters, while in the afternoon, a conference titled: “Modern Technologies for Deep Diving” will be held in the city council hall. In the evening, the musical group Banana Stageband, recruited by the Dal Vivo association, will perform in Piazza San Nicolò. The repertoire will range from classic rock to new proposals.

Activities on the second day

Tomorrow at 8 a.m., a seabed cleanup will take place in collaboration with Legambiente. At lunchtime, also in Piazza San Nicolò, divers will gather for a spaghetti dinner. At 2:30 p.m., another conference titled: “Lacustrine Biology” will be held in the city council hall.

Throughout the day, it will also be possible to listen to the German band Stadt und Jugendkapelle Caiw. At 6 p.m., an awards ceremony will be held. The organizers guarantee maximum safety, with emergency response vehicles on site. (k.t.)
