Flavio Locatelli Art Exhibition Opens in Lonato Town Hall

An art exhibition by Flavio Locatelli is inaugurated today in the Celesti hall of the Lonato town hall. It will remain open to the public until March 4th (on weekdays from 3 PM to 6 PM, and on holidays from 10 AM to 12 PM and from 3 PM to 6 PM).

Biographical and Educational Background of the Artist

Locatelli is a versatile artist who has lived and worked in Desenzano for over forty years. His training roots back to his youth. His talent was refined and strengthened during his time at the Verona Art High School.

Subsequently, Locatelli shifted his interests toward the Architecture faculty in Venice. His work is entirely original and features a multidisciplinary artistic-creative path in which all painting and decorative techniques have been mixed.

Style and Artistic Techniques

Locatelli freely employs both pictorial-coloristic materials and the assemblage of readily available everyday items and trinkets to create actual objects that Locatelli visually perceives as already integrated into an environment. The result is a creation that teeters between artwork and design.

In this body of work, the artist’s purely aesthetic taste does not aim to evoke sensations or feelings but rather to make his work part of the lived experience of his admirers. The artist works in complete solitude in the basement of his home, where he continuously composes and fragments his creations.
